Why choose the Paper alternative?

Paper flowers can be chosen as an alternative to the real thing for a number of reasons.

I’ll list them below:

You can choose any flower and get it made up in your chosen colours.

They last for ages, literally speaking.

If you are allergic to real flowers then paper is always a good alternative.

There are a number of ways that you can incorporate paper flowers into your life.

I’m going to walk you through five of them but I hope this gets your creative ideas flowing

Crepe versus Card

I often get asked this question.

I’m going to use this as an opportunity to answer.

Both are good mediums for paper crafting but both produce very different results. Card is easy to use and manipulate and will produce a firm paper flower. Crepe on the other hand will produce a more realistic look and feel it’s harder to use and very fiddly.

If you are starting out and new to the art of paper flowers I would recommend you learn the foundations with card first when you have mastered the foundations then experiment with crepe paper and choose your niche.

I hope that answers your question.
